Clarity first
We identify what keeps repeating, where it shows up, and what it is costing you — emotionally, relationally, and physically.
U.S. Army veteran. Licensed psychotherapist. Trained at Baylor University. Working with adults across Texas who are ready for something to actually change.
I'm David Robles, a licensed psychotherapist based in Houston, Texas. Before becoming a therapist, I served in the U.S. Army — an experience that taught me what it means to operate under pressure, keep moving when things feel impossible, and carry more than you let on.
That background shapes everything about how I practice. I understand the culture of pushing through, the discomfort of asking for help, and the cost of carrying things alone for too long. I bring that understanding into the room — not as a performance, but as a real part of how I connect with clients.
I earned my Master of Social Work from Baylor University and am licensed as a psychotherapist in Texas. I work with adults 18 and up across the state via telehealth, with in-person offices in Pasadena and Webster.
"You do not need another place to perform. You need a place where the truth can finally breathe."
Therapy by DavidThis is not therapy where you talk in circles for months and leave wondering what changed. The work is focused: understand the pattern, regulate what is happening inside, and practice a different way of showing up outside the room.
We identify what keeps repeating, where it shows up, and what it is costing you — emotionally, relationally, and physically.
You get practical skills for anxiety, communication, emotional regulation, and nervous system awareness — without turning therapy into homework theater.
Support does not mean nodding at everything. It means being respected enough to be told the truth — with care, timing, and purpose.
Every session moves toward something. Here is how the work is typically structured.
What keeps happening? What triggers it? What are you doing to cope that may be keeping you stuck?
Anxiety, anger, shutdown, avoidance, and overthinking usually make sense once we understand what they are trying to protect.
You practice different ways to regulate, communicate, set boundaries, and respond — instead of repeating the same survival strategy.
The work has to matter outside the session. We connect insight to actual decisions, conversations, and behavior.
